Sometimes known as summer learning loss, summer setback, or summer slide, this phenomenon has captured the attention of education researchers since as far back as 1906. According to The Brookings Institution, it occurs when “students start the academic year with achievement levels lower than where they stood at the beginning of summer break” (2017).

TLD would like to be a solution to this on-going problem for students! This summer we are offering a 5 week Summer Literacy Tutoring Camp!

If your student needs extra help in the areas of math, reading and writing, this camp is for you! 

​

If you want to keep your student learning throughout the summer break, this camp is for you!

​

What: Students will work in small groups to build skills such as reading comprehension, vocabulary, problem solving, grammar rules, organization and focus. Students will be grouped by age, grade, and performance levels.

Who: Camp is open to all school aged children and youth, K-12 

​

When: This will be a 5 week Camp, held every Wednesday for two hour sessions beginning June 25th!
